The Disney Afternoon Collection officially announced
Capcom is releasing a collection of six classic Disney games in the form of The Disney Afternoon Collection.
The current state of the video game industry is fantastic. Not only are new and original games being released for current generation consoles, but some developers are bringing back classic and iconic games to life. The NES Classic came out last year, and now, Capcom Unity is releasing The Disney Afternoon Collection.
Announced on Wednesday with a trailer, this collection is simply awesome. It’s very nostalgic, especially for those who played it back in the day. A total of six games will come bundled up with this collection in full 1080p, which is spectacular.
Best of all, it’s only $19.99, which is a reasonable price. The collection will be making its way to PC, PS4 and Xbox One. There’s still no word on whether or not it’ll be coming to the Nintendo Switch, which is very strange. However, we wouldn’t be surprised if that’s announced later down the line.
Check out the trailer for a trip down memory lane:
The games coming in the collection are Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers 1 and 2, Darkwing Duck, DuckTales 1 and 2, and TaleSpin. Not only were these games extremely fun, but they were also very challenging. Rage-quitting may be in your future.
Other than a performance upgrade, there are some new modes making their way to these games. For example, a new mode known as Boss Rush will be playable. It seems like a mode where you fight a specific boss and it times you. It looks like you can also test your skills against your friends with high scores. Nothing like some friendly (not so friendly) competition, right?
Another mode is Museum Mode. You’ll get the chance to look at some behind the scenes videos and images, which is cool.
