The NCAA tournament is here and the story heading into the tournament is the eight seed in the West Region, the Northwestern Wildcats. Can the Chris Collins led Cats beat Vanderbilt and give Gonzaga a run for their money? If Northwestern somehow makes it out of the first weekend, the attention of the college basketball world will be on first-time-ever-in-the-tournament Wildcats. That would be a sweet cinderella story.
There were the usual snubs which included a mid-major, Illinois State, with an RPI in the low 30’s. How do the Redbirds with 27 wins not get in NCAA tournament selection committee? And what about the Syracuse Orange? Eh, they didn’t deserve it, too little success away from the Carrier Dome.
This week’s show features a rock climbing stop at First Ascent Climbing and Fitness firstascentclimbing.com. Chicago was one of the last major cities to have investors build a major indoor climbing facility. Fortunately for Chicago, it was worth the wait. Kayla was complimented for her dance-style rock climbing moves, while Carm was trying to keep up and not embarrass himself.
Triple-double Russell Westbrook watch continues. The numbers are starting to turn into Westbrook’s favor as he edges closer to being the first player to average a triple-double since Oscar Robertson. Kayla’s love for Westbrook seems to grow by the day.
Tim Tebow made it over to the winners column. So did Kristaps Porzingis showing off his defensive talents along with the usual offense. Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi are the latest Bachelor couple to go the distance. Kayla does her best to support Nick and Vanessa and hopes to one day be the bachelorette. The only thing that would make her happier- an Outback Steakhouse close by so she could run and get the blooming onion with all the meats and cheeses on special this March Madness season.
