DraftKings NHL Picks:
Dustin Byfuglien – WPG (D) – $6100
Winnipeg will be on the road tonight, as they pay a visit to the New York Islanders. Winnipeg is a +120 dog, but this game sets up as a track meet, with a 6.5 goal total. It shouldn’t be much of a surprise that Dustin Byfuglien makes the list again, as he’s an elite defenseman at a discounted price. Byfuglien is averaging 3.82 shots and 1.27 blocks per game this month. Byfuglien offers safety through his peripheral scoring, but also upside, given his time on the ice, time on the powerplay, and team total.

David Pastrnak – BOS (W) – $6900
David Pastrnak is a high volume shooter, who’s recent increase in playing time, has elevated his fantasy production. Pastrnak will be playing on the second line but also receive time on the top powerplay unit. Pastrnak has averaged 17.33 minutes per game this year, but has seen a recent increase this month and is averaging 18.36 minutes per game in the last 30 days. While it doesn’t seem like much, these are the edges that offer value when margins are tight.
Blake Wheeler – WPG (W) – $6300
While his shot volume has decreased a bit of late, Blake Wheeler is the type of player that provides consistency for cash games, with a compliment of upside for tournaments. Wheeler will play on both the first line, and first powerplay unit. More importantly, Wheeler is playing roughly 20 minutes per game, which offers value at this price.
