Here’s how to watch Thursday’s NCAA Tournament game between Notre Dame and Princeton online.
The first week of March Madness is here, and it’s time to get excited. The first four days of the Madness – with games tipping off every half hour or so – is one of the best times in sports. Among many other games, Thursday’s first tip-off offers an interesting 5-12 seed matchup between Notre Dame and Princeton.
Notre Dame has ridden its pass-heavy, egalitarian style of offense to a 25-9 record and a top-5 seed in the NCAA tournament.
Point man Matt Farrell runs the show for the Fighting Irish. He’s currently averaging 14.2 points and 5.5 assists per game, and scoring efficiently. Bonzie Colson is the multi-faceted big man that drives Notre Dame’s versatile offense, though. The 6-foot-5 center scores from outside and inside, hitting 54 percent of his 2s and over 40 percent of his 3s. Colson’s also been excellent on defense, averaging 1.4 blocks per game and over a steal per game.

The Fighting Irish will have to get through one of the tougher 12-seeds in the Dance – the Princeton Tigers. The Tigers are so intriguing because they carry many of the characteristics of lower seeds that pull surprising upsets. Princeton takes nearly 42 percent of its shots from 3-point range and has made 38.1 percent of them, a top 50 rate in the country. They’re also excellent at generating steals, coming up with them on 10.5 percent of all defensive possessions. And while they’re a bit weak on the offensive boards, Notre Dame is a team that will not be able to punish them there. It’ll be an interesting clash between two excellent offensive teams.
