Steven Adams, Enes Kanter love mustaches…and Russell Westbrook (Video)
By John Buhler
Basketball and foreign dudes with awesome mustaches. What’s not to love about the Oklahoma City Thunder frontcourt of Steven Adams and Enes Kanter?
They have a great low-post presence and are more than willing to get physical in the paint. While they may come across like hockey goons, these two big men are super self-aware and one of the funniest duos in the NBA.
Not only do they love mustaches, but they love the best player on their team, point guard Russell Westbrook. He’s having an MVP season, so here is a homegrown hype video for the league leader in triple-doubles.
Kanter uploaded this video on his account shortly after 12 p.m. ET on Thursday. The Oklahoma City roomies are hanging out in the parlor wearing bright blue smoking jackets. Together they contemplate if there is anything better in the world than their mustaches. Adams’ pronunciation of the word ‘mustache’ is better than how you’ll ever say the word.
Kanter thinks they like puppies more than mustaches. Adams scoffs at that with a firm, “No!” Praising The Notebook didn’t merit a response from Adams. Frankly, it didn’t need one. Kanter went out in left field and says the ‘Stache Brothers like trees. Adams’ retort was, “I don’t even know who you are anymore, mate.”
Since Kanter was never going to figure it out, Adams channels Kanter’s misguided creativity to focus their praise on “The King of the Prairie”: Westbrook. Adams gets the elder Thunder statesman power forward Nick Collision to turn on the Westbrook highlight reel. The ‘Stache Brothers approve of this message.

Westbrook is one of four players seriously vying for NBA MVP. He’s a triple-double machine, but has fierce competition from guys like James Harden, LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard. Harden has a beard, James is the King and Leonard has a Klaw. However, Westbrook has the ‘Stache Brothers endorsement and that’s worth at least two votes in the MVP race.
