Arkansas has the block to end all blocks against Seton Hall, in one of the best tournament games thus far.

Arkansas is up against nine seed Seton Hall today and there isn’t really a favorite for this one. Nobody considers the nine-eight matchup an upset one way or the other outside of who Vegas prefers so that saps out a little bit of the excitement. Luckily, the teams are usually even enough to create an exciting game for viewers tuning in. Arkansas and Seton Hall are so far living up to that with a close contest.

They’re even throwing in a few highlights for everybody’s enjoyment. Arkansas just had the best block of the tournament so far and what might finish as the best block of the whole thing. This wasn’t doesn’t send a shot into the second row, he doesn’t sky to swat away a rainbow layup, or show off some insane level of athleticism. This block is the classic “I’m stronger than you and you’re not going to score on me” type.

Seton Hall really tried to dunk all over Arkansas. See how he cocks back on that dunk? He wanted to put his man on a poster, stare him down, and then take a selfie to send to all of his friends so they can see what he just did. Except that’s not what happened, because the man he went up against was just stronger than him. He rejected him outright with pure strength and then started a fastbreak the other direction.

It’s going to be really hard for anybody to top this block the rest of the tournament. Pure power blocks are so much better than flash blocks, because it’s the closest thing basketball has to a tug of war. Two guys go at one another. They test who’s stronger. One comes out on top. This time, Arkansas came out on top.
