In a South Region matchup, the sixth-seeded Cincinnati Bearcats will take on No. 11 Kansas State in Round of 64 action.

The Kansas State Wildcats beat the Wake Forest Deamon Decons in the First Four, clinching their spot as the No. 11 seed in the South Region. Their prize is a date with the Cincinnati Bearcats, who should be pretty fired up after a bad loss in the AAC Finals. Cincinnati does a nice job distributing the ball, and they just have too much talent for the Wildcats.

Sophomore Jacob Evans lead the way offensively for the Bearcats, averaging nearly 14 points per game. However, senior Troy Caupain is the facilitator on this team, and is one of four Bearcats who averages double figures in scoring. Kyle Washington and Gary Clark combine for nearly 14 rebounds per game, and they will need to be on the glass if the Bearcats hope to advance in this one.

Kansas State is also pretty solid on the glass, and are led by senior forward Wesley Iwundu. Iwundu lead the Wildcats in scoring and rebounding, and will have to play the best game of his career if Kansas State is going to pull off the upset. The Wildcats have not won an NCAA Tournament game since 2012, and that trend should continue on Friday night.

Cincinnati is just too good defensively, and the Wildcats do not have a player that can take over a game.

The Wildcats should come into the game fired up to get past the First Four, but they do not have enough firepower to handle the Bearcats. Cincinnati is coming off a loss in the AAC Finals, and will be looking to show they belong as a six-seed in this tournament. Expect a big game from Caupain, who should be pretty involved in everything the Bearcats do offensively on Friday night.
