Here’s how to watch Friday’s NCAA Tournament first round matchup between the sixth-seeded Creighton Bluejays and No. 11 Rhode Island Rams online.
The No. 6 seed Creighton Bluejays and No. 11 Rhode Island Rams will open their respective NCAA Tournament campaigns in a Midwest Regional First Round game on Friday afternoon in Sacramento.
Creighton looked like a Final Four threat until star point guard Mo Watson went down with a torn ACL in a mid-January win at Xavier. Greg McDermott’s team still managed to keep things together well enough to finish with a record of 25-9, and earned decent wins against the Musketeers and Providence in the Big East Tournament.
While nobody can replace Watson’s ability to direct the offense as the nation’s leader in assists, Creighton still has an explosive offense that ranks third in the nation in field goal percentage. Center Justin Patton is a tough cover at 6-11, while Marcus Foster is an effective volume scorer averaging over 18 points per game.

After entering the season with high expectations, Rhode Island struggled through injuries early and finished with a record of 24-9 despite playing in a top-heavy Atlantic 10 conference. However, the Rams are healthy and playing their best basketball of the season with a run to the A-10 Tournament title, including an impressive win over VCU in the championship game.

Dan Hurley’s squad features a pair of stars in E.C. Matthews and Hassan Martin, both of whom average over 14 points per game. Rhode Island has a stingy defense that has been tough on the perimeter and ranks third nationally in blocked shots, making for an interesting matchup with Creighton’s wide-open offense.
