The Kansas Jayhawks will play the UC Davis Aggies in their first 2017 March Madness game on Friday evening.

It isn’t officially March Madness until the Kansas Jayhawks have taken the floor. After once again securing a top seed and winning the Big-12 Conference, the Jayhawks are ready to set out and try and bring home another National Championship. The road to the Final Four isn’t easy, but they have the pieces to get there.

Their first round opponent is a team that’s bound and determined to put up a fight. After taking care of North Carolina Central in the First Four, the UC Davis Aggies have got a little bit of momentum rolling their way heading into the NCAA Tournament First Round.

Bill Self has been through these situations time and time again. He knows what it takes to win in March and this is one of his most talented programs yet. The Jayhawks are a popular pick to reach the Final Four and many have them competing for a National Championship.

They can’t afford to overlook their opponent. They have to take it one game at a time and make sure they’re going to bring it early against a UC Davis team that will be bringing their best. March Madness is here and so are the Jayhawks.
