Kansas threw down a bunch of dunks on Friday night, so we put together the best of them

The Kansas Jayhawks and UC Davis Aggies didn’t exactly put together a competitive affair on Friday night. The Jayhawks easily won the No. 1 vs. No. 16 matchup, 100-62, but they did manage to spice up the blowout with plenty of dunks.

Kansas loves to find dunks on back cuts where the guards will toss the alley-oop to a wing. Midway through the first half they did just that as National Player of the Year favorite Frank Mason found Josh Jackson at the rim:

That wasn’t the only back cut play Kansas ran for a dunk. Later on, sophomore Lagerald Vick was on the receiving end of a Mason pass as the Jayhawks executed a pretty set play against the Aggies’ 2-3 zone defense:

Jackson was back at it again in the second half, but this time he didn’t need anyone to toss him a pass. Instead, the freshman chased down an offensive rebound, timed his jump perfectly and threw down a vicious putback slam with the game well out of reach:

After putting together a highlight reel worthy of their next pregame video, the Jayhawks will move on to face the winner of No. 8 Miami vs. No. 9 Michigan State on Sunday in Tulsa, OK.

The story almost certainly won’t be the same — both the Hurricanes and the Spartans a substantial step up in competition from UC Davis — but perhaps we’ll get a few more worthy slams out of Kansas.
