The 2017 NCAA Tournament tipped off on Thursday with the First Round getting underway. After 16 games and 16 subsequent tickets punched to this weekend’s action, it’s still not over. Now it’s time for the Friday First Round games to take the stage across the country for March Madness.
One of the interesting developments from Thursday was the lack of upsets. Only two lower seeds advanced throughout the entire day. Even more bizarre, though, is that the two that did advance were considered actual favorites by many fans and analysts.
Now heading into the Friday First Round action of the 2017 NCAA Tournament, the question is if that will continue. That’ll be interesting to see, especially considering that the heavy-hitters and college basketball’s elite will be on display with the likes of North Carolina, Kansas, Kentucky, Duke and even UCLA all taking the court.
