Running back Latavius Murray will have a new home for the 2017 NFL season, as he signed a three-year deal with the Minnesota Vikings.

The Oakland Raiders will be looking for a new starting running back, as Latavius Murray signed a three-year deal with the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday night. Murray, who ran for over 1,000 yards in 2015, scored 12 touchdowns for the Raiders last season. Murray, who wore number 28 with Oakland in honor of Adrian Peterson, will change his number to 25 out of respect for his idol.

Speaking of Adrian Peterson, it looks like the free agency period has been colder than he expected. While players like Murray and Eddie Lacy have found new homes, Peterson continues to be without a team. AP has been linked to the Oakland Raiders, and with Murray gone, they may have a spot for him on their roster for the 2017 NFL season.

One player who will definitely have a spot on the Raiders roster next season is tight end Jared Cook, who signed a two-year deal with the team on Thursday. One of the more sought-after free agent tight ends in the league, Cook is coming off a strong finish to the season as a member of the Green Bay Packers in 2016. He will be added to an already explosive Raiders offense, who will be looking to win their first playoff game since 2002 next season.

Staying with the AFC West, the Kansas City Chiefs failed to bring back their starting nose tackle from last season. Dontari Poe signed a one-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday, and will link back up with Scott Pioli, who drafted Poe No. 11 overall back in 2012. Poe’s deal is worth $8 million, with the ability to move that number to $10 million if he hits some of his incentives in 2017.

Finally, the Dallas Cowboys lost two of their starting cornerbacks on Thursday. Brandon Carr signed a one-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens, which includes incentives to make it a four-year contract. In related news, the New York Jets inked Morris Claiborne to a deal to replace Darrelle Revis, their former star corner who was released by the team last month.
