Maryland’s Destiny Slocum hit a buzzer-beater that will not be topped by any shot in any tournament this March

It’s March Madness, which most associate with the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. However, some do forget that the women are out there doing their work as well, and while their tournament can provide some unexciting blowouts here and there, it’s not short of excitement, too. Maryland’s Destiny Slocum was quick to remind us all of that.

In Second Round action on Sunday afternoon, the No. 3 seed Maryland Terrapins are taking on the No. 6 seed West Virginia Mountaineers, and as the first half was coming to a close, Maryland was looking to extend their lead as they hope to advance to the next round.

Oh they did that, alright. They did so with Slocum nailing this absolutely insane buzzer-beater that will not be topped by anything that you see this March.

I mean, that’s about as improbable of a shot as you will ever see, but it’s also one of the best things that you have ever seen.

What may be the best part about all of this is the fact that she just sort of flung the ball down the court. This didn’t look like it was a well-lined up attempt or anything here; Slocum just fired the ball down the court and it ended up perfectly.

While some people are complaining that the men’s tournament hasn’t really given us that many exciting moments thus far, people might want to pay attention to the women’s tournament that they spend a lot of time complaining about. Apparently, this is where the heart-stopping moments are this weekend.
