Dancing with the Stars returns tonight with an all new cast and some favorite pro dancers making a return, and here’s how to catch it all live.
Dancing with the Stars is back tonight. Per ABC’s press release, tonight’s premiere won’t actually stretch out into Tuesday, either. The network hasn’t released any information as of this writing about who will dance what, but expect some of the more standard dances like cha cha — the show won’t break out slightly more esoteric styles like the Hustle or jitterbug or waltz (not the Viennese waltz) until a few weeks in, probably.
Additionally, it’s possible that we may see some big scores for the first week tonight. There are a few people in this cast with either some dancing or gymnastics experience. That means they may have an easier time adapting to the standards of the judges: Bruno Tonioli, Len Goodman, and Carrie Ann Inaba. Len may not break out anything higher than maybe an 8, but the other two seem more likely to reward a strong first showing.

Nice to see Kym Herjavec (also known as Kym Johnson prior to her marriage) back in action with Mr. T. Additionally, as confirmed earlier, both Maks and Peta are back as pro dancers.
