March Madness is already through its first week and the Sweet 16 teams have been established. When does the Sweet 16 start?

Can you believe we are already heading into the second weekend of March Madness? The NCAA Tournament is flying by after an exciting first weekend of action and even though there weren’t many first-round upsets, the second round was as surprising as any in recent memory.

The Sweet 16 has been set and there are still come cinderella teams in the mix. You look at teams like Xavier, Michigan and Wisconsin and you have to think each of those teams has a decent chance at making a Final Four run. The Musketeers beat third-seeded Florida State easily, Michigan took down No. 2 Louisville with a strong second half and Wisconsin upended the defending national champs as a No. 8 seed.

With the Sweet 16 matchups set in stone after a bust Sunday night, when will the games begin? Just like the first weekend, the Sweet 16 will commence on Thursday with four contests and then again on Friday with the remaining four.

On both Thursday and Friday, games will begin at 7:09 p.m. ET on CBS and then it will be followed by another contest 15 minutes later on TBS. The following two will be at 9:30 p.m. ET and 9:45 p.m. ET on CBS and TBS, respectively.

Keep an eye on teams like Wisconsin and Michigan as those two have a great chance of making a Final Four run as both were under-seeded. People were talking about the Big Ten being down this season, but there are now three teams from the conference in the Sweet 16.

The first matchup Thursday will be between Oregon and Michigan, followed by Gonzaga and West Virginia. The night will conclude with Kansas vs. Purdue and then Arizona vs. Xavier. Friday’s games will start with North Carolina v. Butler and then Baylor vs. South Carolina. The late games will be Kentucky vs. UCLA and Florida vs. Wisconsin.
