Tom Brady’s Super Bowl jerseys have been found and the thief in question was reportedly caught on tape.

After Super Bowl LI, Tom Brady had one heck of a celebration. Lost in the aftermath was his missing jersey. The NFL has been relentless in their pursuit of their historic jersey. Brady won his record fifth Super Bowl in the jersey and it will likely be put in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Because of the value of the jersey, it’s a felony to steal it. Moreover, the FBI had to get involved because the item was on international ground. According to Jay Glazer, the thief was even caught on video.

This is a lot bigger than many think because it’s not the first thing the alleged thief has stolen. According to Glazer, the thief also stole Brady’s Super Bowl XLIX jersey and Von Miller’s cleats from Super Bowl 50. You can see the suspect entering and exiting the locker room quickly. The jersey was found in Mexico, according to law enforcement.

"Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo said Monday that department investigators relied on a tip from an informant and tracked Brady’s jersey from last month’s 34-28 win over the Atlanta Falcons to Mexico… The jerseys are in the possession of the FBI in Boston, and law enforcement was working to authenticate them."

The thief, if found guilty, will likely face multiple felony charges because of the value of the items stolen. It should be interesting to see where he is prosecuted, as this could affect the charges involved.
