Tom Brady’s stolen Super Bowl 51 jersey has finally been located.

Super Bowl 51 is arguably the crowning achievement for New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. It confirms he is the greatest quarterback of all time as Brady became the only quarterback in NFL history to win five Super Bowls by leading the Patriots on the greatest comeback in NFL history. However, the night turned sour for him when his jersey got stolen. According to Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer, the jersey in question has been found.

"Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reports that the FBI and NFL Security believe they have located Tom Brady’s stolen Super Bowl LI jersey and it will be returned. He reports that the FBI got involved because the jersey was on foreign soil."

The NFL confirmed that Brady’s jersey had been recovered.

Glazer reports the reason it was on international soil is because the thief posed as an international media member. Nobody has been arrested yet on the charges. The thief could face a felony because of the value of the jersey stolen. However, it sounds like Brady will get some closure.

The value of the jersey is estimated to be around $500,000, but it could be much more valuable after this incident. However, its value is irrelevant because it’s very unlikely it’s getting sold at this point. If it is sold, it will likely be at an auction. The most likely outcome is either Brady keeps the jersey, he donates it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, or it gets auctioned off for a charity.

Whatever happens to the jersey, it’s good to finally put this incident to rest. Brady led a 20+ point comeback in Super Bowl 51 as the Patriots won their fifth Super Bowl of the 21st century by beating the Atlanta Falcons. It’s without a doubt his most impressive championship win.
