TNT analyst Brent Barry owned the Players Only broadcast on Monday night because he wore a Kazaam pin on his lapel next to Shaquille O’Neal on television.

TNT launched it’s Players Only telecast campaign on February 27. Every Monday for the rest of the NBA regular season, the nationally televised games on TNT will be run by former NBA players in what’s been a really cool concept so far.

Well, we may have seen the best part of the production so far during Monday night’s game between the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples Center. Television analyst Brent Barry had the audacity to wear a Patti Lapel Shaquille O’Neal Kazaam pin on national television.

The only thing separating Barry from the 1990s rapper and movie star was five-time NBA Champion Derek Fisher. Barry didn’t seem to care if the pin upset O’Neal. These are all former NBA stars that are highly competitive. Barry is a Slam Dunk Champion and a member of one of the NBA’s first families.

If the pin rattled O’Neal, all he has to do to troll Barry is go to the free throw line and attempt a granny shot. That’s what Barrys do when they get fouled. Ask Rick or Canyon. They will be at Madison Square Garden this week taking on the Wisconsin Badgers and what not in the Sweet 16.

In all honesty, O’Neal is probably amped about Barry wearing the Kazaam pin. It was O’Neal’s greatest acting achievement, a superior product to Kevin Durant’s awkward cinematic masterpiece known as Thunderstruck.

Barry wasn’t Shaqtin’-A-Fool. He was just the coolest dude at the Staples Center on Monday night, which is really hard to do because of Hollywood. The big question going forward is if Barry will wear a Michael Jordan Space Jam pin the next time he makes it to the Queen City of Charlotte?
