The Colts pick 15th in the 2017 NFL Draft. How can they make the most of their picks this year?

The Colts have a new regime to build up their roster. Still, the roster that they old regime left leaves plenty of question marks heading into the NFL draft. The Colts were pretty active in free agency, trying to fill any holes they can. With seven picks in the 2017 NFL Draft, who should they take to continue to build their roster?

Haason Reddick

Linebacker, Temple

The Colts had a major need for linebacker help heading into free agency. Fortunately, they were able to tie up some holes on the outside by signing a few free agent pass rushers. The team signed Jabaal Sheard, Jon Simon, and Barkevious Mingo. It takes a need temporarily away from the edge, and they should focus their draft now on inside linebacker. The Colts cut D’Qwell Jackson, and while Antonio Morrison stepped up a bit in his rookie season, he has no one beside him currently. Reddick is a great fit for this spot.

Reddick is an interesting prospect because he spent his college career as a defensive end. However, in high school, he was a safety and running back. What that can immediately tell you is that he is an extremely versatile player. In the NFL, he profiles best as an inside linebacker. He has a great combination of speed, agility, and strength, and at Temple, he did drop into coverage and was a great quarterback spy against mobile gunslingers.

Reddick is a freak athlete with the strength to hold up inside. He has the athleticism to play outside of the box and is the best fit for the Colts to make a major impact in the first round.
