Shane McMahon was looking to send a message to AJ Styles on WWE SmackDown, and he did so by going high-risk to end the show

Whenever Shane McMahon is in a WWE ring, it just feels right whenever he’s doing something completely insane. After all, in his first match in several years with the company at WrestleMania 32, he dove off the top of Hell In A Cell and fell straight through a table as he whiffed on hitting The Undertaker. That is to say, he’s ostensibly a crazy person—or at least a daredevil.

After AJ Styles attacked him backstage one week ago on WWE SmackDown, though, Shane wasn’t playing around. Though the former had been looking for him backstage since the beginning of the show, it was McMahon who got out to the ring first in the final segment. He was succinct in saying that Styles had made a big mistake, then calling AJ out to the ring.

Quite shockingly, Styles tried to offer Shane McMahon an apology. Ever like his father (at times, at least), Shane-O Mac was having none of that. Instead, he wanted to get his hands on Styles and he did. The fight then spilled out to ringside by the announcer’s table, ultimately winding up with AJ laid out across one—which of course gave McMahon ideas.

Shane climbed back into the ring before ascending to the top turnbuckle. Without much hesitation at all, he then flew across the wide gap from the ring to the table and delivered a massive elbow drop to put his newfound enemy through it emphatically:

He might not be the most technical worker and it might not always be pretty, but Shane McMahon has substantially larger amount of guts than most.
