Pre-tournament favorites are looking to knock off an upstart Xavier team in the Sweet 16. Here’s how to watch the game online.

For college basketball fans, the worst time of year is the period in between the end of the Round of 32 and the start of the Sweet 16. The best part about March Madness is that it’s a non-stop frenzy of action, and having to wait four days after an upset-filled second round is torturous. It certainly can’t help teams like South Carolina who have all the momentum going for them right now.

The West region has two good games in the semifinal. Anyone who picked Xavier to make it this far probably didn’t have them beating Arizona, but they’ve got the talent to do so. They’ve looked very impressive so far, particularly in their dismantling of Florida State.

But Arizona was a pre-tournament favorite for a reason. They were already a good team at the start of the year when projected top-5 pick Lauri Markkanen was leading the way. Ever since Allonzo Trier has returned, they’ve been a much better team. Their dismantling of Oregon and UCLA in the Pac-12 Tournament all but reaffirmed that notion.

This game could either come down to the wire or be a statement win for one of the two teams. Awaiting them in the Elite Eight will be one of Gonzaga or West Virginia, so the path to the Final Four will be far from simple.
