Here is the updated 2017 NCAA Tournament bracket after the Sweet 16 battle between the Gonzaga Bulldogs and West Virginia Mountaineers on Thursday night.

Two teams have already punched their ticket to the Elite Eight on Thursday night. As expected the first two games in the 2017 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 went right down to the wire. It all started with the Oregon Ducks just edging out the Michigan Wolverines.

Then after that, the West Virginia Mountaineers and Gonzaga Bulldogs squared off in a battle that was ugly but went until the very end, as the two sides played an agonizing game. The ending was nuts to say the least.

After the Bulldogs took a three-point lead late in the game, the Mountaineers had three chances to tie the game. Instead, they got three ugly shots off and the buzzer expired as the Bulldogs advanced to the Elite Eight.

With the win, the Bulldogs are now just one game away from finally completing their dream and reaching the Final Four. They didn’t score many points but they proved they could grind out a victory if they had to.

The Ducks will await the winner of the Kansas Jayhawks and Purdue Boilermakers. This is the second year in a row that the Ducks have reached the Elite Eight. If this is the year they are to get to the Final Four, they will certainly have earned their way in.

The Sweet 16 games haven’t been heavy on the offense, but both have come down to the very end. At the end of the day, a mad dash to the finish is what everyone wants to see between these great teams.
