Tracking all of the results from the four 2017 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 games being played on Thursday

After a hectic opening weekend in the 2017 NCAA Tournament, we’ve finally reached the Sweet 16. Following the First Round action the top four seeds in each region were all still alive. However, that’s no longer the case with a No. 1 seed, two No. 2 seeds and a No. 3 seed all failing to make the Sweet 16. Now the action will tip off on Thursday night and could be wilder than we could ever hope for.

On Thursday, two of the remaining No. 1 seeds will be in action. The Gonzaga Bulldogs will do battle with the fourth-seeded West Virginia Mountaineers in the West Region. Out in the Midwest Region, the Kansas Jayhawks will also take on a No. 4 seed in the Purdue Boilermakers.

Setting the Elite Eight matchups in the 2017 NCAA Tournament, the bottom half matchups from the West and Midwest Regions will also take place on Thursday night. In the former, the Arizona Wildcats take on the lowest-seeded team remaining, the 11th-seeded Xavier Musketeers. Below Kansas in the Midwest, the Oregon Ducks will try to cool off a white-hot Michigan Wolverines team.
