Taking a look at the tip times and TV schedule for the two 2017 NCAA Tournament Elite Eight games on Sunday, March 24

Coming into Friday night, we already knew four of the teams that would be playing in the 2017 NCAA Tournament Elite Eight. The Gonzaga Bulldogs, Kansas Jayhawks, Oregon Ducks and Xavier Musketeers had all punched their ticket to advance. However, there were still four more spots waiting to be filled on Friday night for the Elite Eight games to be played on Sunday.

The North Carolina Tar Heels got the action started, taking on the Butler Bulldogs coming off possibly the ugliest victory imaginable in their previous game. However, the Heels looked to have made that a distant memory already with how they played against Butler. They jumped out to a big lead early on and didn’t look back. They closed it out and moved on with a 12-point victory.

As much of a one-sided victory as the first game was, though, the second was even more so. The Baylor Bears may have been the higher seed than the South Carolina Gamecock in Friday night’s matchup, but you wouldn’t have known that from watching the action. The No. 7 seed in the East Region locked down the Bears and went on to win, 70-50, and advance.

For the North Carolina game, you have a matchup between two historically great programs no matter who won the late game. Then there’s the South Carolina matchup where the highest possible seed playing would be Florida as a No. 4. Pretty easy call there.
