It looks like a release date for Red Dead Redemption 2 may have just been revealed, so it might be time to get excited for this highly anticipated sequel.
According to Base.com, Red Dead Redemption 2 will be releasing on Sep. 26, 2017. Of course, this is still just a rumor, but we could see it happening. This game is one of our most anticipated games of the year, and if you played the first game, then you’re probably in the same boat.
Rockstar Games first revealed the game last year, starting off with a teaser image and continuing to tease it for days before releasing a trailer. From the first image, we already had an idea of what game it was, as it didn’t take long to realize it was Red Dead Redemption 2.
Red Dead Redemption is one of the iconic games of this generation. The world is gorgeous and fully explorable, it has an intense and gripping story and the gameplay is a ton of fun. Rockstar Games has revolutionized the open-world game genre. With the technology that gaming industry has at its disposal now, it’s already blowing our minds thinking about what the developers will achieve with this game.

Speculation has focused on the idea that this game will be a prequel rather than a sequel. We can totally see them digging deeper into John Marston’s backstory before the events of the first game took place. From the teaser images, the focus seems to be on a group rather than just one person.
Then again, it could also be about his son, Jack. We may be reaching and it could just be an entirely new story altogether. All we know is that we’re all for it. The story should be incredible, along with the immersive world and interesting characters.
Be sure to be on the lookout for a potential official release date in the future.
