Gonzaga vs Xavier live stream: Watch March Madness 2017 online
Here’s how to watch Saturday’s Elite 8 showdown between Gonzaga and Xavier online.
The Musketeers have crashed the Elite Eight, flipping the script on their season with a magical run. Xavier stumbled into the NCAA tournament having lost seven of their last ten, and caught their free falling NCAA stock with a run to the semi-finals of the Big East tournament. They were simply not a great team after Sumner went down, and even worse when Trevon Blueitt got banged up mid-season.
Instead, with Blueitt back at full health and firebombing the competition this tournament, the Musketeers have defeated three consecutive higher seeds to make the Tournament’s last eight. The biggest story is the play of Trevon Blueitt, who continues to wrangle his old-man game to 25-point games on the biggest stage of his life. But role players like J.P. Macura, Kaiser Gates, and Sean O’Mara have stepped up to key the run as well, and they’re playing as a team better than they have all season. Though they certainly won’t be the favorite, it feels scary to bet against them at this point.

They’ll be facing their toughest test of the Tournament so far, though. Gonzaga boasts one of the deepest and most talented frontlines in the sport. Seven-foot-1 post behemoth Przemek Karnowski can be covered by just about no one in college basketball, and his ability to score in the post and pass out of double teams forms the basis for the Bulldogs’ post-centric attack. And his backup is McDonald’s All-American Zach Collins, an arguably more versatile talent who has already been stealing crunch time minutes from Karnowski this tournament.

They back it all up with an excellent lead guard in Nigel-Williams Goss, and a solid rotation of 3-and-D wings to spot up around the main attackers. Though Goss struggled a bit in the matchup with West Virginia, he’s been a steadying force for the ‘Zags all season.
