Rudy Gobert tells DeAndre Jordan to get that stuff outta here with a vicious swat on Saturday

While most of the basketball world is fixated on the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight matchups on Saturday evening, the fact of the matter is that those professional guys are still doing their thing as they wind down their seasons. One of the games taking place on Saturday sees the Utah Jazz go on the road to take on the Los Angeles Clippers, a game in which Rudy Gobert was not very nice to one Mr. DeAndre Jordan.

Now Jordan is one of the most dominant big men in the NBA, yes, but Gobert is not so bad himself, you know? Jordan got quite the stern reminder of this.

Looking for the put-back in this one, Jordan thought he was going to have the easy bucket in the paint. It was simple: take the ball off the deflection from the backboard and simply float the ball into the hoop.

Yeah, it seemed easy, until Gobert tried to swat it right back into Jordan’s face for even attempting it.

Look, Gobert is one of the best defensive players in the NBA, and many out there are calling for him to come away with the Defensive Player of the Year award when this season is in the books. That being the case, when you’re in the position that Jordan was here, you have to be readily aware of where Gobert is at all times in the paint. Because if he’s in your vicinity, he will try to end you.

Yet another example, though, of why the 24-year-old Frenchman is one of the best defensive players playing the professional game today.
