The South Carolina Gamecocks defeated the Florida Gators to advance to the 2017 NCAA Tournament Final Four in Glendale, Arizona.
The miracle season rolls on for the South Carolina Gamecocks. After defying all expectations and making it to the Elite Eight, South Carolina put their best performance out on the floor against the Florida Gators. The two SEC rivals clashed in a close game until the very end.
With the two sides trading the lead back and forth, the Gamecocks locked in defensively near the end of the game. They used their defense to force turnovers and getting to the foul line gave them the separation that they needed to clinch a spot in the Final Four.
With the win, South Carolina will now go to Arizona. They will face the Gonzaga Bulldogs in a matchup that probably not a lot of brackets had. It should be a fantastic game between the No. 7 seed and the No. 1 seed.

On the other end of the bracket, the Oregon Ducks are in the Final Four as well. It’s their first appearance in the tournament since 1939 and they also have a great story as they prepare for their big game.

With new faces in the Final Four, there will only be one traditional mainstay that ends up making it in this year. The North Carolina Tar Heels and Kentucky Wildcats will battle for the last spot in the Final Four. The winner of that game will go on and face Oregon.
