New York Giants: List of 2017 NFL Draft picks
The New York Giants have seven picks in the 2017 NFL Draft. When do they pick?
The Giants are coming off of a season of being the vaunted “winners of free agency.” However, they were the rare team to see a win in the offseason translate to success on the football field. They hit home runs in Oliver Vernon, Damon Harrison and Janoris Jenkins last season.
Still, while it resulted in an increase in regular season wins, the team was ousted in their first playoff game on the road to the Green Bay Packers. This team enters the 2017 NFL draft with a few more holes to touch up and make the next step into being legitimate Super Bowl contenders. Here are their 2017 NFL draft picks:
Round 1 – 23rd overall
Round 2 – 55th overall
Round 3 – 87th overall
Round 4 – 140th overall
Round 5 – 167th overall
Round 6 – 207th overall
Round 7 – 241st overall
This offseason the Giants were a bit more quiet than the year before. However, that is not to say that they were not active. Their big move was to sign Brandon Marshall to a reasonable deal. Marshall is a great fit across from Odell Beckham, and with Sterling Shepard in the slot, it is a complete unit. That did come with the release of wide receiver Victor Cruz, though. The Giants also lost Rashad Jennings, Johnathan Hankins and Kelvin Shepherd in the offseason.

With those moves, their needs are pretty clear at this point. They should be looking for a tight end to perfect their skill position spots. They also could add some depth at running back, and on the offensive line, especially at tackle. On the defensive side of the ball, they need linebacker help in the worst way. They could add some depth to the defensive line as well, especially on the interior.
