When will Michigan State football have their annual spring game?
Michigan State Spartans fans can’t wait for 2017 to get underway. After a humiliating 2016 season that saw them win just three games, both fans and players are looking to start with a clean slate in 2017. Their football team is bringing in some very exciting recruits and bringing back some of their star players. The Spartans will hold their annual spring football game on Saturday, April 1.
There will be a lot of events going on throughout the day, including a kid’s football clinic. They will be hosting a food drive as well. At 3:00 p.m. ET, the Spartans spring game is scheduled to begin. Admission is free.
Currently, Michigan State has some questions to answer. Three of their players could be suspended after facing charges. Also, quarterback Tyler O’Conner is gone. Who will replace him? It will likely come down to redshirt sophomore Brian Lewerke and senior Damion Terry. The latter has more experience overall, but the former got more pass attempts last season. It should be interesting to see who comes out on top.

After suffering a lot of injuries, it remains to be seen precisely who will be on the field for the Spartans. However, most of their injured players from last season should be expected to play. LJ Scott, the team’s leading rusher last season, will be returning. However, the Spartans will be looking for receivers to step up because it’s not 100 percent clear right now who will be starting for them. Freshman receiver Hunter Riso and freshman tight end Jack Camper will likely get a good chance to start. The Spartans have a lot of questions to answer before the 2017 season begins. Hopefully, the spring game will answer some.
