DraftKings NBA Picks March 28
We have only six NBA games for the main DraftKings tournament tonight. There are plenty of options available, though no one jumps off the page as a must play option. It will be an interesting night. If we guess right, we could take this thing down!

The money line last night was all the way up at 277.25 DraftKings points. Big games from Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis pushed the scores way up tonight.
The winning lineup was actually a modest 353.75 DraftKings points. Jazz value with Rodney Hood, Joe Johnson, and Joe Ingles paid off with Davis, Westbrook, and Rudy Gobert.
I can’t stress enough how important it is to watch our Twitter feed right up until lock time. We will try and relay the information out to you as soon as we can, along with any lineup changes. If you can’t do that, it may be best to avoid any of the later games. With the season running down, playoff contenders are sitting players more and more, and there isn’t always a lot of advanced notice.

Point Guards
Best Bets:
James Harden ($12,300): We all know that Harden doesn’t “rest” like many other stars do. However, with him having a sore wrist after Sunday’s game, it is possible that the Rockets look to limit him if the game against the Warriors doesn’t stay close. Harden is a little under value against the Warriors so far at 116.25 DraftKings points in two games. He may fall a little short yet again, but it is likely that he will be the highest scorer of the night at any position on a short slate. A lot of things have to work out to make fading Harden the right decision tonight.
Stephen Curry ($9,400): Curry is passing the ball more lately, which actually increases his value. Double-doubles help the DraftKings bottom line! At any rate, he has 86.5 DraftKings points in two games against Houston this year. That puts him a tad under value, but keep in mind that Kevin Durant played in both of those games. Curry should at least hit 5x value tonight.
Honorable Mention:
Dennis Schroder ($7,800): Schroder dropped half a hundred in DraftKings points in the first meeting with the Suns. That was with Eric Bledsoe in the lineup! Schroder has a pretty high ceiling tonight, and even though Ulis plays solid defense, Schroder should still hit at least 6x value. His current track record is also encouraging. Schroder has at least 5x value in seven of the last ten games.
Ricky Rubio ($7,400): His passing ability and scoring with Zach LaVine out make him a threat to go off on any given night. Of course, he is still not a great shooter, so there will be off nights as well. Tonight looks like a good night for Rubio on paper. He had 31 DraftKings points in the first game against the Pacers, but that was with LaVine in there. He has a shot at 5x value tonight, and possibly much more.
Jeff Teague ($7,100): Teague picked up an impressive 53.5 DraftKings points in the first meeting with Minnesota. He is capable of big games, yet still remains inconsistent, especially with the assists. He had 13 in the first game against Minnesota. If he gets into double digits again, Teague will be a nice value play tonight.
Dark Horses:
Tyler Ulis ($6,900): It’s harder for Ulis to be a great value with his price this high, but that’s what happens when you are leading one of the highest scoring teams in the NBA with few backup options on the bench. The Hawks are 24th in the league in point guard defense. There is potential for Ulis to have another big game.
Jeremy Lin ($5,900): Lin had a big game against the Hawks over the weekend, racking up 40.5 DraftKings points in just 28 minutes. He has the potential to do that to Philadelphia again tonight. The Nets insist that they are going to play him a lot down the stretch. Possibly in an audition for next year. Possibly to garner trade interest in the offseason. Regardless of the reason, if this comes to fruition, it is a good thing for us DFS players.
Ish Smith ($5,000): Reggie Jackson is likely out for Tuesday, and there are rumors abound that he will be shut down for the rest of the season. If he is, Smith immediately becomes the favorite of bargain hunters everywhere. Miami is not a great matchup, but considering that he only needs 25 DraftKings points to hit value, and he will likely play at least 30 minutes, I like his chances.
My picks: Schroder(PG), Smith(G); Teague(PG), Smith(G)
Shooting Guards
Best Bets:
Devin Booker ($7,400): Booker racked up 96.5 DraftKings points on Friday. He became just the seventh player in NBA history to score 70 or more points in a game. We all know the potential here, and the potential for a bust, but if you are looking for high upside, there may be none higher. He is a solid play against the Hawks with the potential to be much more.
Tim Hardaway Jr. ($6,500): Hardaway has racked up 107.5 DraftKings points in the last three games. He has been solid and more consistent with his production since the Hawks inserted him in the starting rotation. Hardaway has a good matchup against Phoenix tonight, a team that usually increases the value of shooters.
Honorable Mention:
Eric Gordon ($5,300): With Ryan Anderson out, Gordon stepped up his production some on Sunday. He will have a chance to ramp it up even more against Golden State, who is still giving up a lot of points to shooting guards. Gordon will see around five more minutes a game, which is the potential for quite a few more points when he gets hot.
Josh Richardson ($5,200): He has been inconsistent even with Dion Waiters out, but he does have a lot of potential and a good matchup. Whether that translates to points or not is anyone’s guess. Richardson has not been much under value with Waiters out, but he hasn’t been over either. That makes it hard to take a chance on him.
Dark Horses:
Shabazz Muhammad ($4,300): The arrival of Omri Casspi has decreased the value of most of the Minnesota bench jockeying for the playing time left vacant by first Zach LaVine, then Nemanja Bjelica. Muhammad was soaking up most of those until the arrival of Casspi. Now the hot hand between him, Casspi, and Brandon Rush wins. Muhammad is the safer pick, but it is a high risk proposition with a nice reward possible.
Nik Stauskas ($4,100): Stauskas was held in check by the Pacers and Bulls, but he did manage 27.25 DraftKings points in the first meeting with the Nets this year. Stauskas still picks up a lot of the minutes at shooting guard for the Sixers. That wont change. Neither should his production against the Nets, which makes him a great value play tonight.
My pick: Stauskas(SG); Gordon(SG), Stauskas(UTIL)
Small Forwards
Best Bets:
Giannis Antetokounmpo ($9,700): Giannis racked up 53.75 DraftKings points in the first meeting with Charlotte. He hasn’t been the most consistent guy to roll with lately, but he showed why people still do by putting up two 60+ point games last week. He could have another against Charlotte, who isn’t getting any better up front.
Paul George ($8,400): George picked up 46.5 DraftKings points in the first meeting with Minnesota. Despite Minnesota being strong against small forwards, George was able to put up good numbers against the Timberwolves. Will it happen again? George has been one of the few constants for the Pacers lately. 5x value is within reach again.
Honorable Mention:
T.J. Warren ($7,200): Warren came back from a one game absence to wreak havoc on the Raptors. He could do the same tonight against the Hawks, who are still without Paul Millsap. Warren has flashed the ability to put up some good numbers during the Suns’ run of rookies. We could see it again with Millsap out of the lineup.
Robert Covington ($6,800): Covington has struggled in the last week, but he has 69 DraftKings points in two games against the Nets. He should get back on track here. The rough games were against the Thunder, Pacers, and Bulls, all of whom are very good against small forwards. Hopefully the recent struggles lead to low ownership because it sure looks like a good night is coming for Covington.
Khris Middleton ($6,200): Middleton is scoring at a high level for a Bucks team that needed someone to step up alongside Giannis. There will be cold nights, such as the 1-13 clunker against Atlanta. The thing to take away from this is that Middleton is taking enough shots to make him a constant threat for 5x value or more.
Dark Horses:
Taurean Prince ($4,800): The ailing Hawks are looking for people to step up. Prince did with Kent Bazemore and Thabo Sefalosha out on Sunday, picking up 34.5 DraftKings points against the Nets. He may not get that against the Suns, but he should have the chance. Both are already ruled out tonight. Prince may be a chalk play, but I will find separation elsewhere.
K.J. McDaniels ($3,900): McDaniels is getting run from a Nets team that is going nowhere. It wants to see what it has for next season. McDaniels has responded by being a consistent producer off the bench. He doesn’t always reach value for this price, but he has been close in each of the last four games, going over twice. He is a solid punt option.
My Pick: Prince(SF); Middleton(SF)
Power Forwards
Best Bets:
Karl-Anthony Towns ($10,100): Towns put up 58 DraftKings points in the first meeting with the Pacers. There is little deterrent in the Indiana frontcourt right now. Towns is going to eat them alive once again. He was finally held under 20 points for the first time since January 1st, when the Blazers also did it. Towns is going to be looking to prove that was a fluke!
Draymond Green ($8,100): Green has put up huge numbers against Houston this year. Green has 104 DraftKings points in two games, and Durant was in both of those games. What can Green do without Durant? Possibly more. Of course, Green’s production has been very inconsistent of late. Banking on 50 DraftKings points again is a very risky proposition.
Honorable Mention:
Dario Saric ($7,700): Saric has seen his production waver lately. He has been cold from the floor in three of the last four games. That alone makes him more of a risk than usual. His price is high enough that he needs to score at least 20 points from the field to have a shot at getting value. No matter what kind of slump he’s in, that is always on the table against the Nets.
James Johnson ($6,600): Johnson has racked up 110.5 DraftKings points in three games against Detroit. That puts him at 5.5x value if he can do it again. There really is no reason for him not to. Tobias Harris isn’t much of a deterrent for Johnson whether he starts or comes off the bench. Johnson will be in a lot of cash game lineups tonight, but he isn’t a bad choice for a solid GPP option either.
Dark Horses:
Marquese Chriss ($5,700): Chriss struggled against Charlotte and Boston, two teams that on paper he should have done well against. That makes Chriss a risk, but against a Millsap-less Hawks team, it could pay off big. How brave are you?
Gorgui Dieng ($5,500): Dieng has done quite well lately with the exception of a game against the Spurs in which he fouled out. In the other three games, Dieng has 97.5 DraftKings points. He is stuffing the stat sheet lately, which makes him a nice low-priced option. He can get you value even if he doesn’t put the ball in the basket all that often.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson ($5,200): RHJ has turned in three double-doubles in March. He has three straight games of more than 5x value as well. The Nets are giving more run to players that they want to see who can do what for next season. Hollis-Jefferson has been starting at power forward, and the returns are encouraging. He has been a rebounding machine lately!
My pick: Towns(PF), Dieng(F); Johnson(PF), Green(F)
Center
Best Bets:
Dwight Howard ($7,600): Howard continues to see increased opportunities with Millsap out. He has at least 30 DraftKings points in every game that Millsap has missed, and that includes one against Memphis. Considering Hassan Whiteside‘s massive struggles against Drummond this year, Howard is a much better option.
Andre Drummond ($7,400): Drummond has absolutely abused Whiteside this year. It has been brutal. Not only has he held Whiteside to 23.6 DraftKings points per game, he has averaged 55.7 of his own! On average! Drummond is a must-play tonight.
Honorable Mention:
Brook Lopez ($6,900): Philadelphia has been absolutely awful up front since the trade deadline. Lopez was dominating them even before that. He has 137.75 DraftKings points in three games against the Sixers this year. Expect another strong night from Lopez is you are planning on using two centers.
Myles Turner ($6,700): Turner has at least 32 DraftKings points in each of the last four games. He is finally playing with a purpose again, which is good news for the Pacers. Turner had 36.75 DraftKings points in the first game against Minnesota, so he seems to be a safe pick for 5x value tonight.
Richaun Holmes ($6,300): Holmes is far from a secure option, but we have seen him put up big numbers when given the chance. The Nets will certainly provide that chance. Can he capitalize on this opportunity?
Dark Horses:
Clint Capela ($5,400): Capela has at least 5x value in eight of the last nine games. He has 60.5 DraftKings points in two games against the Warriors this year, but using someone against the Warriors is always a risky proposition. Their defense has been much better lately, and especially with Durant sidelined. Can Capela pull this with Durant out?
Cody Zeller ($5,300): Zeller has come up big lately with at least 30 DraftKings points in each of the last three games. The Bucks have been rather awful up front. Zeller picked up 23.75 DraftKings points against the Bucks in just 14 minutes in the first meeting. If he plays 30 minutes again, this could be a monster game for Zeller.
Shawn Long ($4,200): Both Long and Holmes played well with Jahlil Okafor out on Sunday. They could be in for similar success against the Nets if Okafor is out again. If Okafor sits, Long has the potential to come close to Holmes’s production for a fraction of the cost.
My pick: Drummond(C), Zeller(UTIL); Drummond(C)
