When you consider that you’re getting every out of market MLB game, MLB.TV is one of the best streaming deals around for the consummate baseball fan.

There’s nothing worse that an out of market blackout when you want to catch your team playing a big game. That is a thing of the past when you subscribe to MLB.TV. The streaming service offered through Major League Baseball is a great deal if you want to catch almost every game, every day. The three tiers of service allow you to get exactly what you want, so let’s break down the options.

Full disclosure, MLB.TV only offers out-of-market games and ones that aren’t nationally televised. Many Opening Day games are under an exclusive contract with ESPN, so there’s a good chance you won’t be able to watch the ESPN games via MLB.TV. And since the postseason is under contract with FOX, there’s a good chance you won’t have the playoffs or the World Series on the plan either.

MLB.TV is available on supported devices like XBOX, iPhones and iPads, Android devices, Roku, Apple TV, and Google Chromecast. You have the choice of the visiting or local broadcasts, and you can watch the games live or on demand. There is also live game DVR for when you need to go back and watch a play again.

So let’s talk pricing. The yearly plan covers the entire Major League Baseball season, starting with select Spring Training games and ending in October. The yearly (season) rate is $112.99. You can also choose a monthly plan that offers the same services but at a monthly pricing plan of $24.99 per month. MLB.TV also offers a third option if you just want to follow one team, and that’s at a rate of $87.49 per year.

MLB.TV is a great plan for baseball fans, but in order to catch the nationally televised games you’ll have to access the networks individually.
