Star Wars: Battlefront II is now official and we’ll be getting a reveal at the Star Wars Celebration in April.

Whether you wanted this sequel or not, it’s happening. EA has officially announced that Star Wars: Battlefront II is coming this year and we’ll be getting a first look at the Star Wars Celebration. If we’re being honest, we aren’t that excited to see what they’re doing with this game. However, we’ll still give it a chance to see if EA and DICE can redeem themselves.

We were extremely pumped for Star Wars: Battlefront back in 2015. The original games are some of the most enjoyable games we’ve ever played and we were hoping that this one would stay true to that. Unfortunately, we were very wrong. This game has a variety of flaws.

First of all, the lack of content. We had already paid 60 dollars for a full game. But, they had the audacity to make us pay another 60 dollars for downloadable content. We have no problem with paid DLC, but please release a full game first. DLC should be nothing but something extra for the players to have the option of playing. At launch, the game had about four maps and a very limited amount of weapons. One of the biggest disappointments of 2015, by far. We’re hoping they don’t make the same mistake with Battlefront II.

We know little to nothing about this game. We’re aren’t sure whether it’ll focus more on the original trilogy, the prequels, or the new trilogy of films. Whatever they decide to do, we just want a great game with tons of variety. It’s simple, really.
