10 college football April Fools’ pranks you would totally believe
2) Mark Richt has lost control of Miami
Mark Richt is a good man that just wanted to coach at his alma mater. Unfortunately, he has lost control of the program. Miami is going wild with players being involved in heinous crimes such as riding scooters five miles over the speed limit on campus, stealing gum from convenience stores and making babies cry. It’s a mess down there at the U once again and wins aren’t going to save Richt’s job.
Richt has a history of this after losing control of the program at Georgia once every season — at least that’s what the internet says, so it makes sense he’d lose control of Miami. Perhaps if he just toughened up and kicked some of those kids off the team then he wouldn’t be in this mess. Instead, Miami is back to their old ways and the NCAA is threatening to do something about it. Slowly but surely Richt’s seat gets hotter and hotter.
As Miami falls into a 1-3 start, Richt is fired for lack of discipline across the roster; a scapegoat for problems that were beyond him, but somebody had to take the heat. Maybe he’ll head off into the sunset and be happy with his success as a coach, or maybe he drops down a conference to somewhere more relaxed. Unfortunately, within a season, Mark Richt will have lost control of that program too. One day, Richt will regain control of these programs he has no control over and that will be a sad day, because a very funny meme will die.
