Mitchell Trubisky

QB, UNC

There is a ton of speculation as to what the Cleveland Browns are going to do with this draft pick, but as we inch closer to the draft, they have still not solved their problem at quarterback. For a while, it looked like they would trade for Jimmy Garoppolo of the New England Patriots, but nothing has materialized. They did make a trade for Brock Osweiler of the Houston Texans, but that was merely a deal to grab some draft picks.

Of this quarterback class, Mitchell Trubisky looks to be the most NFL-ready of the bunch. While he started only 13 games in college, he does have the decision making ability to be a very good player at the next level. While he does not have a rocket for a right arm, he can make all the throws, and looked very crisp during his Pro Day last week.

Cleveland has a bunch of holes on their roster, which is evident by the fact they also have the first overall pick in this draft. They could certainly look to add more to their defense, or grab a playmaking wideout with this pick, but for now, Trubisky looks like the selection. The Browns are definitely going to be a better team in 2017, and they just may have a local kid under center at some point during the season.
