Deshaun Watson

QB, Clemson

The Arizona Cardinals were one win away from the Super Bowl two seasons ago, falling to the Carolina Panthers in the NFC Championship Game. While the 2016 season was a rough one, they still have a lot of talent on this roster, including one of the best running backs in the league. Quarterback Carson Palmer plans to return next season, as does star wideout Larry Fitzgerald, which means this team is going to have no problem putting up points in 2017.

Head coach Bruce Arians has stated that he feels any quarterback they draft is coming into a great situation. Not only do the Cardinals have a fantastic group of weapons on offense, but Palmer is the consummate professional, who could take a young quarterback under his wings. Deshaun Watson is a proven winner, and he fits the mold of somebody who could really flourish with a head coach like Arians.

Watson needs work, and some believe he will actually fall into the second round. While we do not feel he will be the first quarterback off the board, he does have the one intangible you cannot teach, and that is being someone who can lead his team to victory. He is going to be a great NFL quarterback one day, he just may need to sit behind a veteran for a few seasons until it is his time to shine.
