Marlon Humphrey

CB, Alabama

The Kansas City Chiefs had two big priorities on their defense to take care of this offseason. One was bringing back star safety Eric Berry to a long-term deal, as Berry was not going to play under the franchise tag for a second straight season. The second was signing Dontari Poe, their big nose tackle in the middle of their defensive line. Well, they accomplish one of those, and will have the best safety in the league patrolling their defensive backfield for the next six years.

Staying with the defense, the Chiefs need to bring in some more talent in their defensive secondary besides Berry. Marcus Peters is still one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL, though he could use some help on the other side. Marlon Humphrey may very well be gone by the time the Chiefs pick at No. 27, but he would be a perfect fit with Peters and Berry in what would be an elite secondary.

Humphrey is the son of former NFL running back, Bobby, and plays the game with a bulldog mentality. He is good enough to shut down one side of the field, and he has nice hands for a defensive back. The Chiefs won the AFC West last season, and with one of the more complete rosters in the league heading into 2017, they are going to be tough to beat once again.
