There’s probably no one in the association with more upside than Giannis Antetokounmpo and he continues to show on a nightly basis why people think so highly of him.

Currently, the Milwaukee Bucks are sitting as the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference. It’s mainly due to the play of Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Greek Freak averages 23.1 points, 8.6 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game.

Not only does Antetokounmpo get it done on the offensive end, but he also gives maximum effort on the defensive end as well. Friday night against the Detroit Pistons, Antetokounmpo came up big with a monster block over big man Jon Leuer.

It’s possible for the Bucks to land the fifth seed, as they’re currently neck and neck with the Atlanta Hawks. However, the Hawks own the tiebreaker over Milwaukee.

If the playoffs started today, the Bucks would face the Washington Wizards in the first round, but if they were the fifth seed they would play the Toronto Raptors in the first round. With that being said, things can change as teams are very close in the standings.

While the Bucks have been playing good basketball as of late, winning seven of their last 10 games, one must wonder how much better they would be playing with Jabari Parker, who was having a career season before he tore his left ACL back in February.

Parker was averaging 20.6 points and 6.2 rebounds per game, which were both career-highs.

Nonetheless, after missing the postseason a season ago, the Bucks organization will be more than happy to be playing meaningful basketball this spring. In the near future, they’re hopeful Parker will be there so the world can really see what they’re made of at full strength.
