Kevin Lee, Michael Chiesa set for UFC Fight Night 112 main event
By Mike Heck

Kevin Lee will welcome Michael Chiesa back to the octagon in a lightweight main event in Oklahoma City.
After Kevin Lee defeated Francisco Trinaldo in Fortaleza, he was ready to start chasing bigger fights. Lee will get his wish as he will face the returning Michael Chiesa in the UFC Fight Night 112 main event in Oklahoma City on June 25. The bout was first reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal and later confirmed by the UFC.
Lee has won four straight and eight out of his last nine including his most recent second-round submission win over Trinaldo on March 11. Lee, currently ranked no.11 in the UFC lightweight division, was hoping for a fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov, but told FanSided earlier this month that he would certainly welcome Chiesa back to the octagon.
“Somebody like Chiesa, I like that fight,” Lee said. “Chiesa sounds good if I can’t make the Khabib fight happen.”
Chiesa will return after a back injury forced him out of his scheduled main event bout with Tony Ferguson back in July 2016. By the time the bout occurs, it will have been sixteen months since “The Maverick” defeated Baneil Dariush via second-round submission in April of last year. Chiesa is riding a three-fight winning streak of his own and is currently ranked no.7 in the division.
UFC Fight Night 112 will take place at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and will air on FS1. The event will also feature B.J. Penn taking on Dennis Siver in a featherweight match-up.
