Stephen Curry “accidentally” liked something on Instagram about LeBron James.

Stephen Curry has a pretty solid understanding of social media. When he first started to break out as a member of the NBA’s elite, his social media presence blew up along with him. The videos of he and his wife making entertainment out of mundane tasks, such as cooking, became almost as popular as the absurd stuff he did on a basketball court.

Which is why, when Curry claimed he accidentally liked an Instagram post from Bleacher Report about LeBron James and the Cavaliers struggling, it’s hard to believe someone like him could make such a mistake.

For those unaware of what this is referring to. Bleacher Report posted on their Instagram a quote from James the other night following a Cleveland loss. In the quote, James said the Cavs were “in a bad spot” and Bleacher Report took that quote and posted it on a picture of James. Curry got caught liking the picture.

A quick search of that post now shows that Curry has unliked the picture. So maybe it was an accident. A player of his caliber has to have a social media manager at this point so it’s possible that someone connected to his account liked it for him.

However, that just doesn’t seem likely. Curry has always had a good grasp on his individual brand and accounts associated with it. For him, or someone connected to him, to make such a mistake would be very unlikely.

It’s more likely that Curry liked the post and when he got called on it he just undid the like. There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s just social media and the Warriors have been beefing with Cleveland for years now. If Curry wants to go out and like that James is struggling then have at it. Just don’t expect people to believe that it was an accident.
