Bayern Munich face Augsburg at the Allianz Arena on Saturday, April 1. Here ‘s all the info you need to watch.
Following the international break, Bayern Munich return to the Allianz Arena with a 13 point lead in the Bundesliga table. Augsburg are two points clear of the relegation playoff spot.
After a slow start to the season, Bayern have been on fire lately. Carlo Ancelotti’s team haven’t lost since the end of November. Bayern have won their past six games in a row by a combined score of 23-1. In Bayern’s previous game, Thomas Muller scored just his second goal of the season to beat Borussia Monchengladbach. If Bayern can get more out of Muller, they’ll be very difficult to slow down in the Bundesliga and Champions League.
Augsburg are fighting to survive. The club fired manager Dirk Schuster in December and replaced him with Manuel Baum. In the first five games under Baum, Augsburg won three games and picked up 10 of a possible 15 points. However, in Augsburg’s past six games they have won just once and collected only five of 18 possible points.
The Bundesliga goal race is going to come right down to the end. With nine games remaining, Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leads all players with 23 goals. Koln’s Anthony Modeste is second with 22 goals and Bayern’s Robert Lewandowski is in third with 21 goals.
