Kurt Angle: ‘I think it’s safe to say I’ll be in that WWE ring again’
New WWE Hall of Fame member Kurt Angle sat down with ESPN’s Jonathan Coachman to discuss his future with WWE.
Oh, it’s true. It’s damn true. Kurt Angle is a WWE Hall of Famer.
Angle closed out the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Friday night at the Amway Center in Orlando and gave one of the best speeches in the history of the event. From the classic cowboy hat, to the infamous headgear with a bad wig, to even chugging two bottles of milk a la Stone Cold Steve Austin, it was a heartfelt moment for The Wrestling Machine.
Speaking of wrestling itself, what does the future hold for Kurt Angle? He’s seen it all and done it all with multiple organizations, but is his in-ring career over at this point?
Angle sat down in an interview with former WWE personality and current ESPN anchor Jonathan Coachman on going into the WWE Hall of Fame and what could be next for the Olympic gold medalist with the company.
“I do know there’s a chance of Kurt Angle wrestling again,” Angle said. “I also known that I’m gonna have to earn their trust and I understand that.”
Angle’s past that’s included serious drug addiction has been well-documented over the years, but Angle insists that he’s clean and in a good place.
“Being clean for the past four years obviously has been really good,” Angle said, “but the more I show that I can be depended on, the more they’re gonna let me.”
Angle closed the interview by going on to say, “I think it’s safe to say I’ll be in that WWE ring again.”

Kurt Angle being back in a WWE ring competing would be the dream of many. Angle hasn’t wrestled under the WWE banner in over 11 years.
If he’s healthy, if he’s clean and if the company feels he can at least go one more match (like fans chanted at him during his speech on Friday night), it would be a fantastic idea to let Angle back in the ring again.
