Since firing last year’s title-winning manager Claudio Ranieri, Leicester have been on fire. With Craig Shakespeare in charge, Leicester have won four consecutive games. Stoke sit comfortably in the middle of the Premier League table.
Since Shakespeare took over on Feb. 23, Leicester have looked like the team that won the Premier League title last season. The Tigers have won three Premier League games by a combined scoreline of 9-4. Leicester advanced to the Champions League quarterfinals with a 2-0 home win over Sevilla. Striker Jamie Vardy has found the back of the net three times in four games since Shakespeare took over.
Mark Hughes’ Stoke squad are in the middle of the table because they beat who they’re supposed to beat and lose to the teams in the top eight. Xherdan Shaqiri is one of the more talented players on the Stoke roster, but he can’t stay healthy. Shaqiri missed eight games in the first half of the season with a calf injury. If the Swiss international can stay healthy, he can provide Stoke with a highlight reel play per game.
American Geoff Cameron had been a regular with Stoke since arriving with the club in 2012. However this year, Cameron missed half the season with a knee injury. Cameron returned to the Stoke squad at the end of February and should feature for Stoke on Saturday.
