Watford vs. Sunderland live stream: Watch Premier League online
By Adam Stocker
Watford face Sunderland at Vicarage Road on Saturday, April 1. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Sunderland enter matchday 30 in last place in the Premier League. If the Black Cats don’t string together a few wins in a row, they’ll be relegated to the Championship. Watford are 14th in the table and appear like they’ll survive relegation for another season.
David Moyes’ return to the Premier League has not gone as planned. After short stints as the manager at Manchester United and Real Sociedad, Moyes was named manager of Sunderland in the summer. The results have not been there for Moyes. Sunderland have won only one game since the start of 2017. If Moyes doesn’t get things turned around there’s a chance he’ll be out of a job after one season.
At 34 years old Jermain Defoe is still one of the most productive strikers in the Premier League. After scoring 14 goals in Sunderland’s 28 games this season, Defoe earned an international call up over the break. The Black Cats need Defoe to keep scoring goals if they are going to survive this season.
Watford Manager Walter Mazzarri’s side may not be the flashiest side in the Premier League, but they are seven points clear of the relegation zone. The Hornets captain, Troy Deeney, has been their best player this season. The 28-year-old has nine goals and three assists.
