Can Jimmie Johnson rebound from his Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series troubles at Martinsville? Here’s how you can watch the STP 500 live, on TV and online.

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series lands at Martinsville Speedway for the 2017 STP 500, with several big names still looking for their first victory.

Seven-time champion Jimmie Johnson is fighting to get the No. 48 Hendrick Motorsports Chevy back on top. But with qualifying rained out on Friday, the starting grid for Sunday’s race was set based on the points standings and Johnson will start 17th.

Other names beginning deep in the field include Johnson’s teammate Dale Earnhardt Jr. (21st), Matt Kenseth (25th), and Danica Patrick (29th). Meanwhile, the up and coming drivers will start Martinsville in the front, with last week’s race winner Kyle Larson and Daytona 500 pole sitter Chase Elliott making up the first row.

Larson will be looking to capture his third Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series win, a week after finally nabbing his second victory at Fontana. (If he wins, we’ll have to see if he freaks out Twitter with a fake credit card again.)

But there’s another question beyond who’ll drive to Victory Lane: Can the STP 500 do anything to stop NASCAR’s slump in the television ratings? The league is in desperate need of a boost on the TV front, so we’ve provided you all that you need to know to tune in.
