Thanks to an assist from New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, Mojo Rawley won the WrestleMania 33 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Mojo Rawley won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal by last eliminating Jinder Mahal during the WrestleMania 33 Kickoff Show … thanks to some help from Rob Gronkowski.

Yes, the starting tight end of the NFL’s New England Patriots and one of the best football players on the planet helped his good friend win an over-the-top-rope battle royal during the pre-show of WWE’s biggest show of the year.

No, seriously. It was totally a thing that happened.

Gronk was just an observer for the action when Jinder Mahal brought Mojo Rawley over to Gronk’s ringside seat to some damage. That’s where things got good.

Mahal threw a drink of a spectator on Gronk and that set the big man off. What happened next will live in WrestleMania history forever and ever because it was unreal and you have to watch it to believe it.

Gronk took out the new arrival Killian Dian (fresh off his win at NXT TakeOver: Orlando with SAnitY on Saturday night) with a massive shoulder tackle and it was a moment that made you go, “This is actually happening right now.”

After Gronk’s assist, Rawley eliminated Dain and then Mahal to win the fourth Andre the Giant Battle Royal and the first of his career.

As for Gronk, Bill Belichick had to have loved the physicality Gronk should on that big block. That block would’ve opened a huge hole for any running back on the Patriot roster.
