A look at the RAW Tag Team Championship match from WrestleMania 33

In the only Tag Team Championship match of the night (sorry, Team Blue), Anderson & Gallows defended their belts in a Triple Threat Ladder match against Enzo & Cass, and Sheamus & Cesaro. When I wrote my preview for this match, my prediction was Enzo & Cass would finally win the gold, after exactly  one year of great matches, and incredible promos where Enzo tells people that you can’t teach things. Here’s what transpired

Enzo showed up with in his Sunday best cheetah suit…

…Cesaro & Sheamus showed up in some sort of kilt/tux hybrid…

…and The Club showed up as the weakest Tag Team Champions in recent memory.

Just as the match was about to start, we got news from our WrestleMania hosts that this match will now be a Fatal Four Way Match. Just as it seemed that The New Day was about to enter the match themselves, we got a twist… of fate.

THE HARDY BOYZ!!!!!!!!!

The match started out on Nostalgia Avenue, with the Hardy Boys putting a whoopin’ on every team, using their old school agility, and of course, ladders.

As great as it is to see The Hardy Boyz (and believe me, this is great), Sheamus & Cesaro showed that they’re not impressed and made sure to put some offense in on the other teams

Eventually, Enzo & Cass got their shots in, with Cass trying to life Enzo towards the prize, but ultimately it wasn’t enough. What was enough, however, was the incredible ending that brought us back to the year 2000.

That’s right, we have new RAW Tag Team Champions, and they are The Hardy Boyz!!! What a time to be alive.
