The first ever WWE Universal Champion has been out of action since last summer, but he has been spotted at the Amway Center in Orlando.

Get ready for the demon to be summoned again. Finn Balor is healthy and could be making his long-rumored return to action on the post-WrestleMania episode of RAW from Orlando.

Balor has been on the shelf since the day after SummerSlam last year, when he revealed that he injured his shoulder while defeating Seth Rollins to become the first ever WWE Universal Champion. Many fans hoped he would make it back to full health in time for WrestleMania, but while that didn’t happen, the wait might not be much longer.

Sharp-eyed fans spotted Balor entering Amway Center, site of tonight’s RAW, this afternoon:

While that doesn’t guarantee Balor will appear on RAW, it certainly appears that is the plan. He’s been cleared for in-ring action for a while, appearing on the brand’s house shows in various cities during March, including March 10 in Buffalo and March 19 in Hershey, Pa.

It’s the perfect setting for a return since the post-WrestleMania RAW crowd is always hot and will make anyone coming back from an extended absence seem like an even bigger deal. Balor will naturally get a warm response from the fans, but WWE creative has used that sentiment to have wrestlers make quick heel turns before so it will be interesting to see what is in store for the Demon King.

He could certainly be thrown into a quest to regain the Universal Title, now in the hands of Brock Lesnar, playing an “against the odds” underdog role. Or he could turn heel and join his former Bullet Club buddies Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows for real this time.

Regardless of how he’s used, it will be great to see Balor back in the mix on RAW, which could really use a shake-up now that WrestleMania 33 is in the rearview mirror. Catch your breath now before the show begins at 8 p.m. on USA.
