4. Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys have one of the most lethal offenses in the league. Pair that with one of the best rushing defense’s last year, allowing only 83.5 yards per game, and you have a recipe for success, right? Well, every Cowboys fan wishes that were the case.

Sadly, the Boys had one of the worst passing defense’s last year, allowing 260.4 yards per game. The opposing quarterback was always allowed to have a field day against the Cowboys. And with the departure of Brandon Carr, Morris Claiborne (who finally found his groove), and Barry Church the Cowboys secondary only got worse.

The Cowboys let Carr leave because he asked for more money than they were willing to give him. And as for Church, the Dallas coaching staff wanted to give safety Jeff Heath the starting job. Claiborne’s departure was a hard one to swallow for Cowboys’ fans, but they still have Orlando Scandrick and the young Anthony Brown to fall back on.

If Dallas can trade for Sherman, their secondary immediately skyrockets to one of the top passing defenses in the nation. The pair of Scandrick and Sherman is lethal. The one problem for the Cowboys is cap space. They have almost none ($7 million) because they are not willing to rid themselves of Romo’s big contract. But if they can get rid of Romo and add Sherman, they will be Super Bowl ready.
