2. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers defense is mediocre.

They are middle of the pack when their rushing defense and passing defense is compared to other teams. The Steelers made it to the AFC Championship game last season before ultimately losing to the New England Patriots, 36-17. Tom Brady was able to carve the Steelers secondary apart with both long and short ones.

Sherman brings a veteran and elite presence to an otherwise inexperienced core of young players. The Steelers already have a potent offense and they need a leader to bring together this group of young guys that the Steelers have accumulated. They have James Harrison to lead the linebackers and linemen, but who is leading the secondary? The Steelers can add Sherman and he would be able to jump right in without missing a beat.

If Sherman is added to the young defensive roster that the Steelers have, you may want to consider them the team to beat if you exclude the Patriots from the conversation. Pittsburgh is already slated to get Martavis Bryant back form his year-long suspension, and the pair of he and Antonio Brown will be absurd. Tack on the play of Le’Veon Bell, an the Steelers have the best trio of playmakers in the AFC this side of New England.
